- 01Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, like diabetes, high blood pressure, and infections.
- 02Prescribe new medications and refill current ones.
- 03Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.
- 04Manage your overall care, including arranging hospital admission for non-emergent conditions when needed.
- 05Order home health, palliative care, or hospice care as needed, and coordinate with your community’s care staff.
- 06Refer and collaborate with medical specialists.
- 07Keep families informed, and counsel on prevention, healthy choices, and advance care planning.
- 08Routine visits and sick visits as needed.
